Mississippi Studios

Located in Portland’s Historic Mississippi District: the acclaimed former neighborhood Baptist church turned recording studio turned music venue. The studios prides itself on offering the best sound in an intimate concert setting. We also operate BARBAR, which is home to one of the best burgers in town. BARBAR is a funky space which has two large outdoor covered patios, indoor seating, and a secret garden way in back.

Cocktail and burger lounge / patio open daily (serving lunch), seven days a week from 12 noon until 2am. Happy hour is Mon-Thurs 12-7 and Fri/Sat/Sun 12-6. Minors allowed until 9 pm in the restaurant/patio.

ALL shows are 21+ unless otherwise noted on our show calendar. Most shows at 9:00pm, doors/will-call at 8:00pm unless otherwise noted on our show calendar. ALL shows are general admission with a standing floor and seated balcony unless denoted as ‘seated’ on the calendar.

Tickets are required to enter the main venue; however, the patio and BARBAR are open to the public. The venue hosts a wide range of local, regional, national, and international acts; covering almost every music genre. Over 500 performances occur each year with over 1500 bands, djs, and comedians performing.

Professional engineers are also available for recording projects – both video and/or audio. The venue can also be rented for private events such as corporate parties and weddings or for music videos and commercial shoots.
